THE BIKE SHARE PROGRAM CONTINUES
The Doable Neighbourhood Project (DNP) is bringing back the Bike Share Program for another summer. Don’t be shy take a bike out to go to work, school or grocery shopping!
NEW BIKES AVAILABLE
With generous funding from the Ministry of Tourism Culture & Sport, the DNP team was able to purchase 40 new bikes last year, including ten children bikes, and two bike trailers to encourage those with families to make use of the bike share program.
Access to the bikes are free, but require a sign in and sign out process. This enables us to measure the use of the bikes and maintain tabs on their whereabouts.
DONATE YOUR OLD BIKE
Please don’t put your old bicycles out at the curb for collection. Consider donating your bicycles towards our bike share program. Donating a bike is a great way to give back to the community and promotes sustainability. Bikes can be recycled, refurbished and distributed towards our program.
Your old bike may be dropped off at our Municipal Operations department or by calling to make arrangements for pick up.
