KIRKLAND LAKE GOLD HELPS SMALL BUSINESSES OPEN THEIR DOORS
Kirkland Lake Gold has answered the call to help combat the spread of COVID-19 and help our small businesses re-open their doors!
Kirkland Lake Gold has graciously donated $10,000 worth of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) packages to small non-franchise businesses within our community. The PPE contained in these packages include a box of masks, two bottles of sanitizer, and one large container of sanitizing wipes.
“Kirkland Lake Gold is committed to providing a safe working environment,” stated Tony Makuch, President and CEO of Kirkland Lake Gold. “Covid-19 has reminded us that health and safety reach beyond the worksite and into the communities where our employees and their families live and interact with others. We are pleased to work with the Town of Cochrane to help create a safe environment for all community members and ensure everyone can work and go home safe and healthy.”
The Town of Cochrane is grateful for this donation from Kirkland Lake Gold. We are proud of the PPE contribution that will help to ensure that our businesses are protected while they do their job and support our community during this time.
For a business to be eligible to receive a box, the business must be local to the Town of Cochrane, and the business must not be operating under a franchise. The PPE boxes will be distributed through the Town of Cochrane Economic Development Department on a first come, first serve basis. If you own or operate a small business in need of PPE, please email ‘Kaitlyn.monsma@cochraneontario.com’ to obtain information on how to receive a box, as limited quantities are available.
