Program and Experiences Intern Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat

Job Description: The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat (PBH) is looking to hire an individual who will fulfil the role of Program and Experiences Intern. The purpose of this role is to prepare, coordinate and deliver quality programs and experiences for all guests of The Polar Bear Habitat.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creation of advertising/promotional material for PBH programming and experiences
  • Updating social media and other outreach opportunities
  • Main point of contact for all program and experience requests
  • Development and execution of event and program scheduling
  • Communicating with other departments to coordinate all activities such as tours, experiences, etc.
  • Providing an exceptional guest experience with superior customer service skills and enthusiasm
  • Proactively attend to guest feedback in a professional manner
  • Be an ambassador for the Polar Bear Habitat programs and experiences

Qualifications: The successful candidate must be a university or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study. Acceptable fields of study include business/public administration, social sciences, hospitality, tourism, ecology, zoology, or conservation.
