Did You Know?
Cochrane is the birthplace of Tim Horton, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame who founded the Tim Hortons doughnut and coffee shop chain in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1964. Horton grew up playing ice hockey in Cochrane. In 1948, he signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization; eventually winning four Stanley Cups.
